ENGINEERING PROBLEM REPORT |
What is KPIP?
|
Every day, certain
US military units and government contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan
use Kalashnikov rifle variants in the course of their duties (you guys
know who you are). Despite the capabilities of the basic system, the
rifles leave a lot to be desired in terms of accuracy, ergonomics and a
number of other areas, and many of you have identified a good number of
problems with the AK's you're using.
Krebs Custom, Inc., a globally recognized leader in Kalashnikov system
research, development, design and engineering, WANTS TO SOLVE YOUR AK PROBLEMS.
We're doing this because you guys are out there putting it on the line
for us - and KPIP is our way of using our specialized capabilities to
give a little back.
|
How does KPIP Work?
|
Eligible units and
organizations submit descriptions of the problems or shortcomings of
the AK's to Krebs Custom. We will evaluate your problem reports,
and if it is feasible, we will engineer a solution that can be
implemented at the operator level, and develop and provide an
engineering sample at no cost to you.
If you like the solution we provide, we'll provide an estimate for as
many units as your organization requires at our best machine shop rate.
|
Who is Eligible to Participate in
KPIP?
|
The following
organizations are eligible to participate in KPIP:
- US military units currently deployed to
Afghanistan or Iraq that are using AK rifles or variants in the field;
- US government personnel currently deployed to
Afghanistan or Iraq that are using AK rifles or variants in the field;
