Course Description:  AK47/74 Operator Basic Course
Course Fee:  $700.00
This course provides an intense two (2)-day course of instruction on
the familiarization of the AK-47/74 and common variations. Class size
is capped at 20. For beginners and professionals who use or admire
the AK series of weapons, MATR will allow familiarization fire of
custom AKs during the course. Students will also have the
opportunity to fire PKM Machine Guns, and the BHI SOPMOD AK.
This training has adopted a multi-tiered approach to weapons
familiarization and safety:

1. The first stage consists of classroom lectures by individuals
who have used the weapon system in combat environments and real-
world conditions. Many are AK gunsmiths, so their level of
understanding is very extensive.
   • Basic skills, safety, and familiarization are emphasized.
2. Stage two requires practical demonstration with each weapon
utilizing live ammo.
   • This section will feature advantages and disadvantages of
various AK models and modifications. Conducted during daylight and low-light conditions.
   • Accessories to enhance the AK weapons system will be
demonstrated and discussed.
3. The third stage involves additional variants of AK weapons.
   • Instructors will conduct basic live-fire practical exercises
in an explanation, demonstration, and application format.

Course fee includes tuition, 2 nights lodging at our lodging
facility, and the book "Practical Guide to the Operational Use of
the AK-47/AKM and AK-74 Rifles"
